Seated Calf Raises with Weighted Vest



Targets the calves.

Set a shorter object than your seat such as a block, book, or other object with a flat surface at a distance away from the object that you’ll sit on. Hold a weighted vest in your arms then sit on a bench, chair, couch, or other stable object that you can sit on and rest the weighted vest on your upper legs and rest your toes on top of the shorter object so that your heels are on the ground, your lower legs are perpendicular to the ground, and your upper legs are parallel to the ground. Hold the weighted vest to your upper legs and press your toes against the shorter object as you lift your heels off the ground. Contract your calves. Return to the starting position.
