Lying Leg Curls/Lying Hamstring Curls

Targets the hamstrings.

The pad of the lever is below your calves and over your ankles. If the machine is flat, place a barbell hip thrust pad underneath your lap to raise your hips so that your hip flexes. A lying hamstring curl machine with an angle on the bench raises your hips automatically. Your knees line up with the pivot joint of the machine so that your knees are below the pad. Your legs are slightly extended and your toes are straight. Keep your feet plantar flexed to focus less on your calves and focus more on your hamstrings. Hold the machine’s side handles. Your back isn’t tilted. Push your hips toward the pad and bend your legs then squeeze your hamstrings. The rest of your body maintains contact with the bench. Return to the starting position.
